Write a Book Project
A huge congratulations to the children in 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 6th class who took part in the Write a Book project this year. This project run by Blackrock Education Centre, encourages children to partake in a project to write their own book which will then be read by a teacher from another school. It is a huge undertaking for any class as it covers the entire writing process from idea stage, planning, story structure, edit & review to presentation, binding & cover creation. Our pupils shared the books with some of younger classes in a period of paired reading and received some wonderful feedback before they sent their books off.
As all books will return before World Book day on Thursday 2nd, we plan to celebrate their achievements with a special awards assembly on this date along with an open reading session for all.
