Coder Dojo is an Irish led global network of computer clubs.  It is a place for young people to learn to code, develop websites, apps, games and it has arrived in Glencullen!

The club-class atmosphere encourages children to share their knowledge and ideas, and learn from one another. Each session is mentored by people that are willing to give up time to help out some young people passionate about learning how to code, learn about tech and more.  And the best feature about CoderDojo is that it is absolutely free!

Coderdojo in St Patricks

Coder Dojo began on Saturday 18th January at 4.30pm, at St. Patrick’s National School, Glencullen.  We are now in our second term and the children are working on both Scratch and HTML.

Coder Dojo  is open to all children between the ages of 6 and 17.   It is necessary for a parent or guardian to remain in the school during the session.

Places are limited so if you are interested you will need to do the following:

  1. Have a laptop or computer that you can bring with you and that you are happy to load a basic programming language such as Scratch to.
  2. Send an email registering your interest to coderdojoglencullen@gmail.com with the following:
  • Your name, your child/children’s name/s and age/s, and your contact email and mobile number

Places will be confirmed via a return email.
