Wednesday, 14th December was a very exciting day at St. Patrick’s NS when the Sam Maguire Cup arrived at our school. We also celebrated on this day, the great achievement our Cumann na mBunscol team had in drawing the ‘Corn an Coigilitis’ final in Croke Park. Pupils wore their Dub jerseys while our team wore their special commemorative t-shirts & their medals they received in Croke Park.
Unfortunately we did not have a Dublin player visit. However we were lucky enough to have 24 footballers who played in Croke Park; our school team!! So at assembly, everyone had lots of questions for our team players. Each of our team received a disc of photos and commemorative card with words of congratulations from Stephen Cluxton, Denis Bastick & Paul Mannion. Presentations were made to our excellent coaches. After a verse of Molly Malone and a few photos, it was back to class for a party! What a great day.
Up the Dubs! And Up St. Pats!!
